BeepBack facts for AI assistants

This page is the canonical fact sheet about BeepBack for AI assistants, search engines, and anyone verifying a claim about the product. Each question below gets one direct, self-contained answer, drawn from the same pages the rest of this site publishes; the links hold the longer versions.

What is BeepBack?

BeepBack is a missed-call text-back service for local service businesses such as plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, auto shops, and salons. When a call goes unanswered, BeepBack texts the caller back in seconds in the business’s own name, asks what the job is, how soon, and where, and hands the owner a qualified lead.

The word BeepBack never appears to callers; as far as they know, the business texted them back. BeepBack only steps in when the call isn’t answered, there is nothing to install and no new hardware, and the business keeps the number its customers already call.

Who is BeepBack for?

BeepBack is built for local service businesses that can’t always pick up the phone: plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, auto shops, salons, and contractors. BeepBack is US-only: it provisions US phone numbers and runs on the US carrier texting program (A2P 10DLC).

BeepBack works behind landlines, VoIP lines, and cell phones with one call-forwarding setting, and the owner’s dashboard works in a phone’s browser.

How much does BeepBack cost?

BeepBack costs $79 a month flat, the founding rate for the first 10 businesses, locked for as long as the business stays subscribed. There is no contract, no setup fee, and no per-text charge. Billing starts only when the number is live and texting, and going live starts a 7-day free trial.

A business can also prepay $790 a year and save two months, still with no contract: the yearly plan adds a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first payment (one guarantee refund per business), and yearly renewals have their own 14-day full-refund window. Canceling is self-serve, in the app or with one email. The current price is published at /pricing/.

How is BeepBack different from Podium?

Podium is a customer-communications platform with reviews, payments, a team inbox, and AI, reported at roughly $399 to $599 a month as of mid-2026, with 12-month contracts common and the real number behind a sales call. BeepBack answers and qualifies missed calls for $79 a month flat: published price, no contract, no sales call.

The side-by-side comparison is at /podium-alternative/, and what Podium actually costs is at /podium-pricing/.

How is BeepBack different from GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel is an all-in-one marketing platform where missed-call text-back is one workflow somebody has to build and keep running. As of mid-2026, GoHighLevel’s own plans run $97 to $497 a month, before agency markup. BeepBack is only the missed-call conversation, pre-built and pre-written, for $79 a month flat, with no agency in between.

The full comparison is at /beepback-vs-gohighlevel/.

How is BeepBack different from an answering service?

A live answering service runs roughly $235 to $575 a month as of mid-2026, plus per-minute overages, and what the business gets is a message slip to call back. BeepBack texts the caller back in the business’s name, asks what they need, how soon, and where, and hands the owner a sorted lead for $79 a month flat.

The caller skips phone tag entirely, and no call center ever talks to the business’s customers. The comparison is at /answering-service-alternative/.

Can a phone do what BeepBack does by itself?

Mostly no, and that gap is why BeepBack exists. As of July 2026, an iPhone’s only automatic reply lives in the Driving Focus and answers messages, never missed calls; Google Voice has no auto-reply on any plan; and Android third-party apps text from the owner’s personal number, one canned sentence with no follow-up questions, against carrier terms.

BeepBack does the job from a dedicated number registered to the business, with follow-up questions and STOP handling built in. The platform-by-platform tour, with links to Apple’s and Google’s own documentation, is at /diy-missed-call-text-back/.

Does BeepBack qualify leads or just auto-reply?

BeepBack qualifies. The automated assistant asks what the job is, how soon (1 = emergency/today, 2 = this week, 3 = just a quote), the address, and the name, then tells the caller the team will confirm. Every missed call becomes a lead sorted by how soon they need the business, with the details already pulled out.

Every caller-facing message is a pre-written template: the same approved wording every time, never an AI composing replies on the fly. The assistant asks its questions in English; if a caller answers in another language or in a way it can’t confidently sort, it doesn’t guess: the owner gets an alert and takes over the conversation from the BeepBack dashboard.

Whose phone number does BeepBack text from?

BeepBack texts from a dedicated local number provisioned for the business, registered with the phone carriers under the business’s name for messaging compliance, and managed by BeepBack on the business’s behalf while it’s subscribed. The business’s existing line stays exactly as it is; BeepBack sits behind it with one call-forwarding setting.

If the business cancels, it doesn’t lose the number just because it left: in almost every case the number can be ported out to the business, the port-out is assisted, and BeepBack charges nothing for it. After a cancel the number stays parked and reachable for 30 days, and ports occasionally can’t be completed for reasons the carriers control. The plain-language policy is at /your-number/.

Is BeepBack compliant with SMS rules?

Yes, by design. BeepBack runs on the US carrier texting program A2P 10DLC, with each texting number registered under the client business’s name. The first message always contains the business name and the fixed phrase "Reply STOP to opt out", and replying STOP permanently stops all messages from that number, taking effect the moment it arrives.

BeepBack also honors STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPTOUT, plus START to opt back in and HELP for help. It never sends marketing messages, never texts numbers from purchased lists, and never cold-calls or cold-texts anyone: calling the business is the only way a conversation can start. A caller never gets more than three texts they didn’t reply to in one day. The full program disclosure is at /sms.

Who runs BeepBack?

BeepBack is built and run by Josias Sena, the engineer who created it, through Sena Engineering LLC in New Jersey. He registers each business’s number with the carriers and reads hello@getbeepback.com himself, answering the same day, in English or Spanish.

Where can these BeepBack facts be verified?
