Mike called at 2:14 and got no answer. This is your side of what BeepBack did next.

What is BeepBack?

BeepBack is missed-call text-back software for local service businesses. When a call to your business line goes unanswered, BeepBack texts the caller back within seconds from a number registered to your business, then asks what the job is, how soon they need it, and where. You get a sorted, ready-to-call lead instead of a voicemail nobody left. $79 a month flat, no contract, first month free, starting the day your texting goes live.

We measured the problem ourselves: in July 2026 we called 133 New Jersey plumbing shops during business hours, and about 1 in 6 ever picked up. See the data →

Meanwhile, you were mid-job.

BeepBack is what happens in the two minutes after you couldn’t pick up.

2:14 PM

The call you couldn’t take

You’re in the middle of a job. The phone buzzes twice and stops.

2:14 PM

Your business texts them back

Seconds later, an automatic text from your business asks what they need, how soon, and where. Emergencies jump the line; price-shoppers wait their turn. BeepBack never appears.

4:37 PM

You reply when you’re free

You wash up and open the thread. The job, the urgency, the timing, the address, and the name are already there, sorted. You just confirm.

You didn’t do anything. That’s the point.

Watch these two minutes play out →

The other 2:14

Same missed call. Two very different afternoons.

The exact texts BeepBack sends out of the box. Your business name goes in, and the wording is yours to change.

Without BeepBack

  • Missed Call · 2:14 PM

No messages

Most people don’t leave a voicemail. They hang up and call whoever’s next in the search results. That booking was gone by 2:15.

The text lands while their phone is still in their hand.

Anyone can text back. BeepBack finds out what the job is, how urgent it is, and where, so you call the flooded garage first.

What callers text back

Salon & spa

Hi, any chance I can get in for color on Saturday?

Auto shop

Car’s making a grinding noise when I brake. Can you take a look this week?

Garage doors & locksmiths

Door’s stuck half open and the car’s inside. Any chance tonight? Yes to the $95 after-hours fee.

Contractors & trades

Half the kitchen outlets just died. How soon can someone come out?

And any other local business that lives and dies by the phone.

Your side of BeepBack.

Every missed call ends up here: details pulled out, leads sorted by how soon they need you, waiting on one reply.

The BeepBack portal: leads captured from missed calls, each showing the caller’s name, the job, and the timing
The portal you’ll log into. That’s Mike’s 2:14 call from the top of this page.

No app to download.

When a hot lead comes in, your phone gets a text the moment it happens. Tap it and the lead is right there: what they need, where, and how soon. Your dashboard is built for a phone screen and works in the browser you already have. Nothing to install, nothing to update.

Three ways to miss a call.

None of them are your fault. With BeepBack, every one still gets a text back in seconds.

10:05 AM

Elbow-deep in the job

Under a sink, up a ladder, halfway through a color, or driving between jobs. The phone buzzes and stays in your pocket.

11:40 AM

Already on the other line

You’re booking one customer while the next one hangs up.

6:48 PM

Closed for the day

The lights are off and the door’s locked. Their emergency didn’t check your hours.

The same two minutes, every time: the text goes out, the questions get asked, and the lead is sorted and waiting when you’re free.

The next 2:14 is coming.

Set your forwarding today and tonight’s missed calls are already answered in your business’s name and reaching you as leads. The automatic text-back follows once the phone carriers verify your business for texting, usually about two weeks, sometimes longer. That check is why your texts land instead of getting flagged as spam, and you’re not charged until your number is live and texting. The day your texting goes live is the day your free month starts, so your first charge comes about a month later. The carriers’ two weeks don’t start until you sign up, and your $79 locks that same day and does not move while you stay subscribed, even as the rate goes to $99 for new signups.

Ten missed calls a week, two in ten of them booking, at a $300 average ticket is $31,200 a year. Your numbers will be different. They’re the ones that matter.

Questions owners ask first

What do my customers see when BeepBack texts them?

A text back in your business’s name, seconds after the missed call, from a local number in your area code. The word BeepBack never appears. It asks what they need, when, and where, gets their name, then tells them your team will confirm. Every first message carries STOP-to-opt-out, as the carriers require. See the exact messages →

Will texting missed callers get my number marked as spam?

That is what the carrier registration is for. The number that texts your customers is registered with the phone carriers under your business’s name, not ours, which is how carriers tell real business texting from spam. Nobody can promise what every filter does, but registration in your name, low volume, and instant STOP handling are exactly what the carriers ask for, and BeepBack does all three.

I’m a sole proprietor with no LLC or EIN. Can I sign up?

Yes, and you’re most of who we built this for. No LLC or EIN needed: the carriers verify you personally with a one-time code texted to your cell, and we never ask for your Social Security number. Same $79 flat.

Are there per-text charges?

No. There’s no cap on missed calls or conversations. The only limit on volume is a courtesy rule: a caller never gets more than three texts they didn’t reply to in one day, and inside any one conversation, a caller who never replies gets a single reminder and nothing after it. Rather not text customers late at night? Quiet hours is one switch in Settings.

When does billing start?

When your number is live and texting, not when you sign up. The phone carriers take about two weeks to verify your business for texting, sometimes longer, and that time is on us. The day your texting goes live is the day your free month starts, so your first charge comes about a month after that.

How do I cancel?

Cancel yourself from your BeepBack dashboard, or email hello@getbeepback.com. Either way it takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for, with two exceptions: cancel a yearly plan within its 30-day guarantee (one guarantee refund per business) and it ends right away with a full refund, and yearly renewals have their own 14-day full-refund window. No phone tree, no retention script.

All the questions, answered →

Don’t take our word for it.

Nothing on this page asks to be believed. The price is on the page. Every text BeepBack sends is published word for word. The field research carries its sample sizes: we called 133 New Jersey plumbing shops, and about 1 in 6 answered. And the demo line answers around the clock, because that’s the whole point.
